All of our products are manufactured exclusively in Germany and are inspected and certified by independent laboratories. You will find the corresponding test certificate on the last product image of each of our items.
Our company is BIO-certified - as are all of our farmers and raw material suppliers.

Where exactly do we manufacture our products?
Answer: Our products under the SCHEUNENGUT® brand are manufactured in Gelsenkirchen and Augsburg. Individual products are manufactured by partner companies that are also based and produce in Germany. All production sites are HACCP, BIO, and GMP certified and meet the quality standards of ISO22000 and ISO9001.
Why does a Cypriot address appear on some Scheunengut products?
Answer: The Scheunengut company is divided into national subsidiaries, which are responsible for production depending on the sales market (for example, we must comply with different standards and laws for German products than for English or French ones). All products are distributed centrally through our distribution company in Cyprus, as the bureaucratic hurdles are lowest here for our main sales markets in England and the USA. We sell our products under various brand names, as we want to keep our organizational structures and costs as simple as possible - entirely in the interest of product quality.
Since the address of the party placing the product on the market must always appear on the final products, this is where you will find the address of our distribution company.
Important: Notwithstanding this, we are of course subject to the supervision and control of the German authorities, in particular the Federal Office for Food Safety. All our products are notified to the BVL and are regularly inspected by the authorities.
Why do some Scheunengut products state "German Product" or "Made in Germany / from DE," when the source raw material comes from, for example, the USA?
Answer: For all of our products, we always transparently state the country of origin of the base raw material in the product description (usually under the heading "Country of Origin" or on the product images). For all SCHEUNENGUT® products, any further processing after harvesting of the raw material (unless the base raw material already comes from Germany) takes place in Germany - whether this is milling/extract production/filling/certification, etc. - so that we indicate this separately with our origin labels such as "Made in Germany / German Product, etc." These associated additional costs are considerable, unusual, and far from standard among our competitors, which is why we highlight this separately wherever relevant. You can then decide transparently whether this effort - compared to the competition - is worth the corresponding surcharge to you.
Where can I view the complete laboratory results for a given product?
Answer: Our shop system only has space for seven product images, so we can only use one of these images for the test certificate of the respective independent laboratory. The complete report is usually between 3 and 6 pages long and therefore cannot be displayed on our website. However, you are always welcome to contact us via the contact channels listed above, so that we can send you the complete report(s).
Am I also allowed to take more capsules/tablets/powder per day than stated on the label of the respective product?
Answer: As the manufacturer, we are legally required to state a maximum recommended daily intake - and as the manufacturer, we are also liable for the safety of consumption at the recommended intake we specify. Accordingly, this recommended intake is generally set very low in order to cover as broad a range of customers as possible (i.e., including, for example, people with chronic illnesses, serious medical conditions, etc.). You may, of course, take fewer or more capsules/tablets/powder, but as the manufacturer, for the reasons stated above, we are simply not permitted to recommend this to you. For this decision, you should best be guided by the individual effect of the product on your body.
