Scheunengut was born from a passion for health, healing, and alternative medicine. The lack of natural, high-quality products on the market was our original motivation for founding the company: we wanted to know for ourselves what goes into our products – as natural as possible, absolutely pure, free from all additives, and of the highest possible quality.
From the very beginning, we have been independent of investors or other shareholders – and we intend to stay that way. We're convinced that this is the only way we can pursue our philosophy and goals on our own terms. Our mission: to support individual wellbeing through pure, natural raw materials.
Why “Scheunengut”
Our brand name is a tribute to our roots. Growing up in the countryside, barns were always more than just buildings to us – they were a playground, a refuge, and later also a place of work.
From an early age, we helped out on farms during the holidays and developed a deep connection to nature and its treasures. With “Scheunengut,” we bring this tradition into our products: natural, honest, and made with the care that only comes from a genuine passion for nature.

Every raw material before, and every finished batch after production, is meticulously tested in independent laboratories. That way, only the best goes into our 100% recycled packaging. With our local production, we also create jobs and contribute to the regional economy.
Natural and Pure
It's important to us that our foods and medicinal plants come from their region of origin and are grown in harmony with nature. The less processed they are, the more powerful their natural active ingredients remain – which is why our products are as natural as possible. They deliver natural active ingredients in their purest form, free from contaminants or questionable additives. Wherever possible, we rely on organic quality or wild harvesting and gentle extraction methods.
Malte & Alessandro
Malte (left, in the mountains) has been captivated by the world of sports and health since he was young. Because of his own thyroid issues, he began exploring alternative forms of medicine early on. Before Malte even gets to the office, he's usually already been to the gym or out for a run.
Alessandro has never been without sports in nature since his 6th birthday – from football to track and field to surfing, which he pursues today in Portugal. With sensitivity, empathy, and a strong customer focus, he leads all teams remotely. Twice a year, he flies out to meet our major raw material partners and negotiate new contracts.

With us since December 2022. Born in Leipzig, “good old Gerd” studied medicine in Copenhagen (Denmark) and New Delhi (India), where he discovered the deeper aspects of Asia's holistic medicine. His medical experience is our advantage.
