BerberineIt is a natural plant substance found in particularly high concentrations in barberries. It has a characteristic yellow color and is frequently used in traditional medicine.

  • Furthermore, it can help lower cholesterol levels by improving lipid profiles and reducing triglyceride levels.
  • Berberine has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that can be useful in fighting bacteria, viruses, and fungi.
  • Some studies suggest that berberine may help reduce body weight by boosting metabolism and reducing fat accumulation in the body.

To ensure berberine can exert its full effect, we have added piperine from black pepper. Piperine is known for significantly increasing bioavailability.

Our Berberis aristata extract is obtained from the stem and roots of North Indian barberries and is highly concentrated with a pure berberine content.

The extraction process is dual: once with pure water for all water-soluble ingredients and once with food-grade alcohol for all fat-soluble ingredients. As always, no chemical solvents are used, thus fully preserving the natural purity of the high-quality raw material.

The dried, pure 20:1 extract is blended with black pepper extract and filled into our own vegan capsules. 100% free of additives, colorings, or fillers. Production has always taken place in Germany under the strictest regulations – without compromise.

We advise against taking this product during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as there are no adequate studies investigating the safety of the ingredients during pregnancy.
Are there any known interactions with other Scheunengut GmbH products?

The overview provides information on the correct time to take Scheunengut products. We investigate every report of intolerances or interactions. We currently have no reports of interactions or intolerances.
Why is the effect of your products sometimes not explained?

We would be happy to provide you with further information and present the studies that we evaluated as part of our product development.
