Hericium erinaceusLion's mane, also known as lion's mane or hedgehog mushroom, is a medicinal mushroom with many bioactive compounds. The main active ingredients are hericenones and erinacines, from which the mushroom gets its name. These compounds promote the production of nerve growth factor (NGF), which supports the regeneration and growth of nerve cells. They can be particularly helpful in supporting cognitive function and protecting against neurodegenerative diseases.

It also contains large quantities of polysaccharides, beta-glucans, phenolic compounds, diterpenes, ergosterol, minerals and trace elements, as well as all essential amino acids.

These active ingredients make Hericium erinaceus particularly well-known for its neuroprotective, cognitive-supporting, and mood-enhancing properties. The mushroom is often used to promote nerve regeneration, improve mental performance, and support the gastrointestinal tract.

OurHericium erinaceus extractIt is extracted from the entire fruiting body of Japanese lion's mane mushrooms and is standardized to a guaranteed polysaccharide content of at least 30%. We source exclusive batches from a small cultivation area in northern Japan.

The extraction process is dual: once with pure water for all water-soluble ingredients and once with food-grade alcohol for all fat-soluble ingredients. The alcohol evaporates completely after extraction. As always, no chemical solvents are used, thus fully preserving the natural purity of the high-quality raw material.
