DiosgeninThe main active ingredient in Mexican yam is a phytosteroid considered a precursor to progesterone-like substances and thus capable of exerting hormone-like effects. Its main effects include:

OurYam root extractAs the name suggests, it is extracted from the roots of the Mexican wild yam and is standardized to a guaranteed diosgenin content of at least 20%. We source exclusive batches from Mexico, where the plants are cut down to ground level and then dug up. The roots are inspected for quality and condition on site. The subsequent cleaning, drying, and shredding of the roots is a very complex process requiring considerable expertise.

The extraction process is dual: once with pure water for all water-soluble ingredients and once with food-grade alcohol for all fat-soluble ingredients. The alcohol evaporates completely after extraction. As always, no chemical solvents are used, thus fully preserving the natural purity of the high-quality raw material.
